AquaTrek2 ADA Pool Steps are high-quality portable pool steps specifically designed to provide a solution for 2nd entry method as required by the ADA. These adapted pool steps are removable and portable to help facilities offer competitive, therapeutic, and recreational aquatic programming.
The AquaTrek2 ADA Pool Steps meet or exceed the following ADA requirements: No open risers, 7-inch maximum riser height, 12-inch minimum tread depth, 24-inch maximum width between handrails, top landing handrail extensions, top railing at 35 inches above stair nosing, 1.5-inches of clear space required for handrail wall mounting. Custom constructed for each facility's pool, the unit is both a lightweight and portable addition for aquatic access. Each tread is color-coded for safety with yellow strips placed on the front of each tread to help make the treads more visible. The unique 24-inch wide handrail offers unlimited hand positions and provides maximum stability for users. Convenient wheels for moving the steps in or out of the pool make it easy to remove and install, while the durable construction makes it ideal for use indoors or outdoors. The deck anchors and all fasteners are made of the finest stainless steel and the steps will be custom-built to fit the measurements on the order forms below. One side skirt is included with the steps. For steps placed next to a wall, only one side skirt is needed. Additional side skirts are available for purchase separately. These pool steps have a 600-pound weight capacity and are designed for frequent removal, as a single person can place and remove them regularly. Choose from 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 tread (step) models.
