The HandiThings Hand Weight Glove is a unique hand weight with elastic finger loops and open palm design. This adapted hand weight that fits comfortably on the back of the hand and allow the user's fingers and wrist to move freely.
The HandiThings Hand Weight Glove is made of soft cotton spandex with a weighted pouch that rests on the back of the hand. Elastic thumb and finger loops and a hook and loop wrist strap hold the weight securely in place while leaving the palm of the hand completely open.The fingerless design allows for maximum finger flexibility and wrist mobility. This adapted hand weight provides excellent proprioceptive input and additional hand stability for users who experience tremors during fine motor tasks. The durable Lycra material pouch is double stitched for strength, and is filled with lead-free steel shot. Each glove will fit the left or right hand and is available in 5 sizes, which are determined by the width of the hand across the knuckles (not including the thumb), with the fingers together and extended (see chart). Extra small size has 1/4 pound of weight, Small size has 3/8 pound of weight; Medium, Large, and Extra-Large sizes have 1/2 pound of weight. To determine the size needed, measure along the base of the index finger to the base of the little finger along the palm (MP joints across the palm of the hand).
